Chipman Car Crafters 10th Anniversary Show and Shine

The Chipman Car Crafters will be celebrating their ten years in existence by hosting a special show and shine on June 6th, 2010. The grand draw prize sponsored by the Chipman Development Corporation, will be two tickets to a weekend at the Edmonton Rexall Indy in July of 2010. Free coffee and donuts will be offered during the day. Once again, the seniors will provide a breakfast, the volunteer fire department will provide a concession and the Historical Society will provide a Ukrainian plate. Entertainment will take place and several vendors will be on site. The Chipman Glider Club will have their glider on display again. Chipman Car Crafters Car Club was formed to unite and promote the automotive enthusiasts in the area. The club was formed November 6, 2000, and now has 22 members from this area. The club's objectives are to organize a group of people with the same interests and to promote the community and other local organizations. Plus, to get together and have some fun doing what we enjoy the most - telling stories and driving our toys!!

Club meetings are held on the second Monday of every month, at 7:30 PM, in the Village Office. Drop in. Membership is not restricted to any specific make, model or year of vehicle, we like them all! Current club members' vehicles include vintage cars, muscle cars, cool trucks and hot rods. Some of these are completed and driven almost daily, while others are "works in progress" and like so many hot rods, they are never really finished, always upgrading.

Chipman Car Crafters publishes a monthly Classified Ads listing of vehicles, parts and accessories that members either want or have for sale. This is free for all paid members. We also publish a quarterly newsletter with info on upcoming events, club news for the past period, and info on members' vehicles, plus other interesting stuff. The club has recently joined the Alberta Association of Auto Clubs Society, a group that represents auto enthusiasts at the government level to ensure that our hobby is not legislated to death.
